Ministries >Missions

TBC views missionaries as an extension of the Church’s mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in all the world and to teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (the Great Commission). To that end, the church supports those home and foreign missionaries whom the TBC leadership believe are Spirit-filled and are being effectively used by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 26:22).

The purpose of the missions ministry is to:1) bring to the attention of the TBC congregation potential missionaries to be considered for on-going financial support, 2) keep the TBC congregation apprised of the progress and prayer requests of missionaries supported by it, 3) encourage the membership to pray for the missionaries and their families and to correspond with them, and 4) encourage the missionaries and their families through financial support and various means of communications.

The vision is that God would use TBC to support missionaries on every continent of the world; especially in those countries located in the so-called 1040 Window where it is estimated that two-thirds of the world’s population live. The 10/40 Window is home to the majority of the world's unevangelized countries and home to the majority of the world’s poor. An estimated 2.79 billion individuals live in approximately 6,126 unreached people groups. (Matthew 24:14, Revelation 14:6)
